Who are we?
Introduction
We are a team from Lukang, known as Fulushow Summer Camp. Our mission is to foster children’s character development through engaging camp activities. By bringing in international teachers, we provide kids with more opportunities for interaction and immerse them in an English-speaking environment. This helps enhance their social skills, language abilities, and global perspective, allowing them to grow and thrive in a friendly, supportive setting.
Founding History
FULUSHOW Summer Bilingual Character Camp is the largest elementary bilingual summer camp in Changhua. Combining English learning with character education, we create an immersive English-speaking environment to instill strong values in children. Our camp also encourages youth volunteers to develop leadership, patience, and responsibility while broadening their global perspective.
Since its founding in 2010, the camp has received overwhelming praise from students and parents, attracting a growing number of participants each year. The grand finale, a showcase event attended by thousands, has become a highly anticipated summer tradition for families in Changhua.
Camp Development Timeline
2010-2015 | Co-organized with Studio Classroom
Launched in 2010 in Lukang with 150 students and 25 volunteers
Expanded annually, reaching 480 students and 130 volunteers by 2015
The closing showcase exceeded 1,300 attendees, becoming a major local event
2016 | Independent Launch as “Fulushow Bilingual Character Camp”
Transitioned from Studio Classroom, officially rebranded
Expanded to two sessions, with over 600 students and 150 volunteers
Partnered with Home of Christ North America, introducing Silicon Valley-based Chinese volunteers
2017-2019 | Steady Growth & International Collaboration
2017: Due to resource constraints, reduced to one session with 300 students
2018-2019: Resumed two sessions, welcoming international volunteers from Youth With A Mission (YWAM)
Student enrollment exceeded 800
2020-2022 | COVID-19 Impact & Adjustments
2020: Reduced to one session due to the pandemic but still drew 328 students
2023: With pandemic restrictions lifted, rapidly expanded to four sessions with 1,030 students
2024 | Expansion & International Exchange
Continued with four sessions, surpassing 1,400 participants
Volunteers and foreign instructors from the U.S. (Montana, Florida, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles), Singapore, and South Korea
February: Led a delegation of 19 volunteers on an educational trip to the U.S., strengthening international collaboration
Vision for 2025
Under the theme FAITH BEYOND THE WORLD, Fulushow will further expand its impact by enhancing bilingual learning experiences, strengthening global volunteer collaborations, and enriching educational travel opportunities. Our goal is to create an inspiring platform for both students and volunteers to grow, connect, and thrive in an ever-evolving world.
